Michael Wright is a Legislative Drafting Consultant with Lexbridge. He has worked on major legislative reforms to support the implementation of international legal obligations and domestic policy initiatives.  He specialises in providing technical assistance to small-island States in the Pacific and most recently provided drafting support to Nauru, Palau and Vanuatu.


With significant expertise across all aspects of legislative drafting, Michael has developed particular experience in anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing, governance, judicial and parliamentary reforms, revenue raising, electoral and sub-national issues. He is highly skilled in plain English drafting, capacity-building, parliamentary legislative practices, and review and revision of legislation.

Michael has previously been engaged by AusAID, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the World Bank, the United Nations Development Programme and DIFID working across the Pacific, particularly Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea, and Namibia, Kenya and Myanmar. He previously worked at the Office of Parliamentary Counsel, Canberra.
