Capacity-Building and Training

 

Lexbridge is regularly engaged to provide training, capacity building and technical assistance on international law and policy issues. We take a practical approach to training and technical assistance, focusing on the needs of our clients and drawing on our real-world experience as international law practitioners.  

 

Lexbridge has extensive experience providing training, learning programs and technical assistance to governments across the Asia-Pacific, including to the Australian Government's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade where we are panellists for the DFAT Diplomatic Academy.  We have also delivered numerous training and capacity-building programs in a broad range of countries, including Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Fiji, Indonesia, Korea, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam.

Our learning programs have been delivered to lawyers and non-lawyers at a variety government agencies, State and Territory government bodies, foreign governments, and international organisations. 

We have particularly strong expertise in providing training related to international negotiations, given our team is highly experienced in this area across a variety of subjects, ranging from international trade law, general public international law, defence and security, through to human rights, climate change, artificial intelligence and others.
