About the Facility

The Asia-Pacific International Law Capacity Building Facility (APIL) works to support countries to enhance their understanding of their rights and obligations under international law so that they are better equipped to represent their national interests in international negotiations.

APIL provides practical training and support to government officials across the Asia-Pacific on international law areas that impact on public policy. Our mission is to support capacity building in developing regions but our training programmes are equally available to governments of every level of public international law sophistication.

APIL provides free introductory training workshops. Comprehensive training programmes, legal advice and support in public international law matters is available at a discounted rate.
